Bijayanagar Upazila is a newly formed upazila of Brahmanbaria district and an ancient town. Titus Bidhaut has an area of ​​221.18 sq km. Vijayanagar upazila is located between 23.51 to 24.8 degrees north latitude and between 91.20 and 92.10 degrees east longitude. It is bounded on the north by Nasirnagar upazila, on the east by Madhabpur upazila of Habiganch district, on the south by Akhaura upazila and on the west by Sadar Brahmanbaria upazila. Its administrative activities started on 3rd August 2010 as the 462nd Upazila. Although the upazila was earlier included in the Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila, it has a different atmosphere as it is separated by the Titas river. The upazila consists of 10 unions and covers an area of ​​221.18 sq. Km. This newly created upazila of the government is geographically an exceptional upazila. The distance by road from Brahmanbaria district town to Vijaynagar upazila is 35 km.

Although the Upazila activities started on 3rd August 2010, the official activities of the Upazila Fisheries Office started from 23/02/2018. Out of 10 unions of this upazila, 7 unions have vast wetlands and beels. Which is very suitable for fish farming. Besides, there are innumerable small and big ponds in all the unions.
